During the download you can only find a gw2-64.exe and a .dat file. It is not possible to install the game with this file unless the .dat is fully downloaded, which means 70 GB. Using the A-Net Launcher makes it possible to play the game while downloading in the background.

I am running Guild Wars 2 through Lutris --- thought i would try that out instead of PlayOnLinux.i tried both the pba-2.21 and pba-3.3 versions. In PvE content, i did not have as large a FPS rate as i did with the staging-2.0 (although now staging-2.0 is suspect to time-outs and crashes for me). I did not test pba-3-3 in WvW yet.

Keep in mind - GW2 works a bit differently, there is almost no way to play with other people that is not beneficial for everyone. There is no mob tagging, exp and items are shared, even among people who aren't in a party. Harvesting nodes are individual to player, so you don't need to worry about fighting over them. qpaCWyg.
