Tommen has a lovely heart and many people felt he would be a better king than his brother, but he has a few major weaknesses. He is indecisive, he struggles with confrontation and ultimately, he is a pawn in a game that is much too big for him. Tommen Baratheon (portrayed by Callum Wharry in seasons 1 and 2, and by Dean-Charles Chapman from season 4 onwards) is the prince presented as the youngest son of King Robert Baratheon and Queen Cersei Lannister. Like his older siblings Joffrey and Myrcella his actual father is his uncle Ser Jaime Lannister. Tommen would be an easily influenced king, but even so Margaery felt a sense of sympathy for the young man. Despite being a pawn in the Game of Thrones he was a good-hearted teenager, in so many ways the opposite of his brother. Beneath all the politics was a genuine sense of affection. She had always wanted to be a queen.
